Use the Content Search technology preview

You can search for specific content (Example — assignments, lessons, questions, Math Apps, Course Modules, etc.) within the new Content Search UI in Möbius.

IMPORTANT: New Content Search features are being rolled out in stages as a technology preview. Updates are planned on a fortnightly schedule separate from other Möbius updates, and new features will be added and enabled when ready. Current features from the Content Repository may be missing from the technology preview at this time; check out Understand the Content Repository for help with those features.

Access the Content Search technology preview

You'll go through the Content Repository for your class in order to switch between the technology preview and the existing Content Repository interface.

To access the Content Search technology preview:

1. Click Content Repository on the Class Homepage.

1. Click Transform your experience with our new Content Search!.

1. To return to the Content Repository at any time, click Back to Content Repository from the Content Search page.

Search for content

To perform a search for specific content in the Content Search technology preview:

1. From the Content Type drop-down filter, select the Assignments, Lessons or Questions options to refine your search results for only those content types.

1. Click the Find Content field on the Content Search page.

1. Enter a keyword in the search box and submit by pressing Enter or Submit on your device keyboard.

1. Review the search results to find the specific piece of content you were searching for.

1. (Optional) Click Content Source, Subject, Question Type or Difficulty to open filters which can help refine your search results.

1. (Optional) Open the Sort by drop-down menu to sort your results by Title, Date created or Date modified.

Preview and edit content

After finding a specific piece of content with the search tools, you can access the editor for that content type.

To edit a specific piece of content:

1. Search for and find the specific item in the Content Search UI (check out Search for content).

1. Click Edit once you have found the content that you want to edit.

1. Perform your content edits within the Editor tool that opens.

Different types of content and supplementary content use specific Editor tools:

• Lessons — Check out Edit a lesson to use the Lesson Editor
• Assignments — Check out Edit an assignment to use the Assignment Editor
• Questions or text — Check out Question Editor to use the Question Editor

Import content

You can import content from files on your hard drive into your Möbius class.

You can import Möbius content that has previously been exported as a content .zip file, or you can import and convert external content that's in a written document or exported from your Learning Management System (LMS).

TIP: Check out Export content for how to export content from Möbius as a content .zip file.

To import your content:

1. Click Import Content in the Content Search UI.

1. Select an option from the Import Content drop-down menu:

• Select Möbius content to import a content .zip file.
• Select External content to import and convert from a written document or from your LMS.

1. Select or drag and drop a file in the Import Content dialog.

1. Proceed with importing the file containing your content:

• Check out Import content from your hard drive to import a Möbius content .zip file.
• Check out Import and convert your assignment document to import and convert a written document.
• Check out Import and convert your LMS assignment to import and convert a file from your LMS.
