DigitalEd has a simple and resonant purpose - to shape the world through digital learning.  As a SaaS company in the online learning market, our Möbius platform is a comprehensive solution designed for the unique needs of teaching science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).  We’ve seen tremendous success in 2020, so to further increase brand awareness and generate leads for our platform, we're searching for a Digital Marketing Coordinator to join our team.  

We're looking for someone who is curious, enjoys a challenge, and is willing to work collaboratively with a small yet mighty team of Marketing professionals. The team’s objective is to promote the DigitalEd and the Möbius brand, create demand, and deliver a steady flow of high-quality leads for our Sellers. Our ideal candidate is obsessed with finding ways to increase website traffic, improve conversion rates; and understands the value of data to improve results for all our digital initiatives.

The majority of our team is located in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, where this role is based; but we have team members throughout the UK and Australia as we all work remotely during the year that is 2020.


What's Expected of You

  • Search Engine Optimization: Use SEO best practices to ensure that the DigitalEd website is visible in search engine page results for relevant keywords.

  • Search Engine Marketing: Collaborate with the team to execute, manage, and monitor our paid advertising campaigns.

  • Content Marketing: Support our content contributors in creating high-quality SEO-rich content of various forms including webpages, blogs, email, video, web, whitepapers, eBooks and blogs.

  • Website Management: Supporting the uploading and updating of site content, monitor site performance, and suggest improvements to design, navigation and structure as needed.

  • Reporting: Create and automate reporting for all our digital channels including for paid, organic and social channels. You’ll monitor and report on key metrics to boost traffic and conversion rates.


How You Know You're Doing Well

  • Website Traffic/Site Visibility: You are able to demonstrate the effectiveness of your efforts to increase website traffic and site visibility.

  • Lead Generation: Your efforts in SEM and SEO help increase both the quantity and quality of inbound leads for the RevOps Sellers.

  • Website Optimization: There are notable improvements in the speed and reliability of our site, not only for our end-user experience but also for our Marketing team who builds and posts content.

  • Data/Analytics: The data you select, interpret and share helps guide our team to develop effective campaigns for their regions; and you’ll be able to identify and fix drop-off points to optimize lead generation funnels.


The 'Stuff' that Makes You Great at This

  • Up to 5 years of hands-on, lived experiences managing digital marketing for a brand. We’re talking about exposure to the full spectrum of search ranking optimization factors and critical algorithm updates.

  • A solid understanding of best practices and how to optimize web content for SERP.

  • The ability to identify and advise on new and emerging trends, insights and strategies to develop new ways to generate leads, increase awareness and improve performance of all digital marketing activities.

  • Proficiency in web analytics software, keyword tools, and digital advertising platforms.

  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems or Marketing Automation Platforms is an asset but not required for this position.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

As a Digital Marketer, you understand the differences between BERT, Fred, Pigeon and Possum, (or at least you think you do). You’re aware of the well-respected influencers in the industry and are familiar with all the buzzwords and acronyms. Even more important is your willingness to learn and grow your craft. Where you shine will be in your ability to translate all the jargon and communicate our digital strategy's value to the team and stakeholders. To be successful in this position, you will also be willing to share your expertise to create successful integrated marketing campaigns.
